Mine Planning
The Department of Mining Engineering of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Universidad de Chile, in collaboration with the Advanced Mining Technology Center (AMTC), offers the mining community the Postgraduate Diploma in Mine Planning.
This Diploma is aimed at professionals seeking high-level specialization in the field of mine planning.
Our program is at the forefront of the discipline and covers content in geomechanics, deposit evaluation, underground and open-pit mine design and planning, optimization topics applied to mining, and risk analysis concepts for decision-making.
Objectives
The main objective is for each participant to develop a deep understanding of the theory and processes involved in mine planning, enabling critical inquiry and the pursuit of best practices applicable to their professional context. To this end, we have designed an academic program that incorporates techniques from other disciplines in order to improve the traditional approach to solving mining problems.
To fulfill this ambitious goal, we have assembled a top-tier teaching faculty that combines academic excellence with the field experience and track record needed to meet industry demands.
