Geo- Mining-Metallurgy

The Department of Mining Engineering at the Universidad de Chile offers the mining community its Postgraduate Diploma in Geo-Mining-Metallurgy.  This program is aimed at professionals and degree holders working at any point along the mining production chain — geologists, mining engineers, metallurgists, and engineers from other specialties — who wish to acquire or update cross-disciplinary knowledge of that chain and of current techniques in the field of Geo-Mining-Metallurgy.

Objectives

The Diploma aims to provide participants with comprehensive, cross-disciplinary training in mining, emphasizing a Geo-Mining-Metallurgical approach to the challenges of design, mine planning, and extractive metallurgy within the context of mining projects and the mining business.

By the end of the program, each student will have acquired the cross-disciplinary knowledge and tools needed to add value across the entire mining business chain, fostering the integration of language and knowledge from different training backgrounds.
