Ore Body Evaluation

This line conducts research in geological modelling, geo-metallurgical modelling, quantification and classification of geological resources or mining reserves, multivariable geostatistical modelling, and modelling under geological uncertainty.

The objective of group is to develop tools, models and geostatistical algorithms, computational solutions at small and large scale using high-performance computing techniques, which are transferred to the industry through licensed software. These activities come to life at the ALGES laboratory (Advanced Laboratory for Geostatistical Supercomputing) through publications and projects sponsored by grant funding and the industry support. At the lab, professors, researchers, project engineers, and post-graduate, graduate and undergraduate students work together.
